OUR TEAM

Alyssa Jiwani

Alyssa Jiwani (she/her) is beyond thrilled to be launching Lights Up Ensemble, her dream, alongside her dream team! Alyssa is a director, choreographer, theatre educator, and performer. She graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of Drama with her BFA in Drama and minors in Educational Theatre and Applied Theatre. She has worked as a Director, Choreographer, and Educator with Seattle Opera, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Seattle Theatre Group, Woodland Park Players LEAP, Village Theatre Kidstage, Studio East, Seattle’s Performers, Lights Up Ensemble, Jubilee Monuments, Disney Musicals in Schools, and more - she has worked with hundreds of students in the greater Seattle area on countless productions, classes, and camps! Alyssa's mission is to increase diversity, accessibility, and inclusivity through her work as an educator and creative, and she believes the best way to do so is by empowering the rising generation of artists through theatre — and she is so excited to continue this work through Lights Up Ensemble. Kelsi Raich

Kelsi Raich (she/her) Kelsi Raich is ecstatic to be launching Lights Up Ensemble with her dream team, where she is passionate about creating inspiring, inclusive theatre experiences for young performers. She holds a BFA in Theatre from Southern Oregon University, home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and has performed internationally at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. Kelsi has directed numerous youth productions, including Frozen KIDS, Willy Wonka KIDS, and The Wizard of Oz JR. In addition to her theatre work, she is an elementary educator who believes every child deserves a place to grow in confidence, creativity, and community through the arts.

Ian Williams

Ian Williams (he/him) is a singer/songwriter, composer, music director, and educator residing in Seattle, WA. His theatre work has been performed at NYC’s Public Theatre, San Diego’s Old Globe, and Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre. He is the recipient of the 2008 Richard Rodgers Award (Kingdom, words by Aaron Jafferis) and 2007 NAMT selection (Kingdom). Ian is the co-songwriter, lyricist, and guitarist/vocalist with neoclassical-folk duo Glass Heart String Choir, and has toured the USA, Canada, and New Zealand. Ian teaches music and theatre at Holy Names Academy and is thrilled to launch Lights Up Ensemble with his dream team.
